Weather Permitting? Four Seasons Grilling

Cold Weather Grilling

How important has grilling become to us as a culture here in the United States? It’s become so important that it’s a booming two billion plus a year market. But the lingering question is how has something that is so dependent on varying factors, such as the weather or the right equipment, become such a marketable thing. It’s because now there are ways to make this a year round activity.
Winter-grilling is a phrase that only a few years ago, you could mention to your buddy that you really want some burgers and to capture all the essence that is the right seasonings and the char that blends itself in so nicely with the juicy meats that you’ve cooked up. The only problem with that, is your buddy looks at you like you’re a crazy person, because the weather outside has dipped below 20 degrees, there is eighteen inches of snow and ice on the ground and the lid to your grill is frozen shut with a sheet of ice so thick, you could play hockey on it. The weather outside is already frightful enough without having to dress up in every piece of clothing you own to drive on ice and snow infested roads the three miles down to the gas station to try and pick up a propane tank because you didn’t think you needed to refill it since it was the heart of winter.
But now, winter-grilling is even easier and accessible, especially thanks to products such as our Pan Grill-It™. So how about you turn your thermostat up to 85, walk around your house or apartment in shorts and a t-shirt and sit comfortably on your couch with the TV playing your favorite winter time movies, such as A Christmas Story or It’s A Wonderful Life, while you do all of your winter-grilling from the comfort of your own kitchen.
“I never thought of grilling as a year round event,” a recent Pan Grill-It™ customer told us. “When the summer ended, the cover went on our grill and that’s the last we thought of it until April or May. Winter-grilling just didn’t seem feasible, and nobody wanted to deal with the weather or the hassle of standing outside decked out in snow suits and extra coats, just to get some burgers or steaks that were going to be frozen again almost as soon as we’d be able to take them off the grill.”That’s another thing of the past. With the Pan Grill-It™, even though the temperatures outside are below freezing, it absolutely doesn’t mean that your food would have to be, and you still get that fresh off the grill taste. The cast-iron insert fits in any ordinary twelve inch pan and after you let it heat up after only a few moments, you’ll be ready to get your winter-grilling on with no hassle, or breaking your fingers or hand trying to turn the knob on a frozen propane tank, or using your car scraper to break off any ice or snow that’s surely collected on the top of your grill. Plus, you won’t have to wait for an hour for the temperatures to finally get up to par. So when you’re standing by your window with a coffee or hot chocolate in hand, watching as the first flakes of the first snowfall start to come down and rest gently on your lawn or your balcony, the smells that will encompass your house will be that of summer and a good time as the burgers and steak and bratwursts and sausages and grilled vegetables you’ve been craving since August will ensnare your sense of smell and taste as the Pan Grill-It™ made your winter-grilling experience a whole lot easier.
